MISSION

I specialise in editing publications, research papers and knowledge resources that address global environmental and societal challenges, helping organisations communicate complex information clearly and accurately. I particularly enjoy working on material that bridges science and policy.

BACKGROUND

After graduating with a BSc (Hons) from the University of Melbourne, I began my career in research before gaining a qualification in professional writing and editing. Since then, I’ve worked both in house and as a freelance or consultant editor for academic publishers (Wiley, Springer Nature), intergovernmental organisations (e.g. United Nations Climate Change, FAO, UNESCO) and several other organisations (e.g. Pacific Community, GGGI, SIPRI). My experience spans project managing book, journal and report production, and editing content in diverse disciplines of the natural and social sciences.

Over more than twenty years, as I’ve built expertise in editing and publications management, I’ve remained committed to transforming ideas into compelling words, guiding projects from concept to publication, and connecting writers with readers.

I keep my knowledge of editing practices current, develop my skills and connect with colleagues in the industry through my membership of IPEd (Institute of Professional Editors Australia and New Zealand).

Based in Melbourne, Australia, I work with clients around the world.
